“We want you to re-think cider”. It is with that mission that “Militsa” was created. At the idyllic village of Farmakas, Nigel O’Connor and Natasa Kleanthous came up with the idea to create a Cyprus cider that would best capture the unmatched taste of the local apple produce.

After “experimenting” with Natasa’s parents old winemaking equipment, the couple then traveled to England to meet cider producers and learn new and old techniques. These travels along with their drive and ever-growing desire to complete their mission led to the creation of Cyprus’ and Greece’s first cider, “Militsa”. It was in February 2019 Militsa made its debut on the Cypriot market and with the support of the Photos Photiades Breweries, Militsa was re-introduced to its audience in 2022 with upgraded recipes and flavors, that are meant to be enjoyed in our trademarked, low-ball glass, with ice!
